If you go to the beach, and you find that you are being taken out to sea by the undertow of the ocean, then you should know how to make your way back into the shore. Of course, at most beaches, there are lifeguards that will assist you if you need it. However, it is a good idea for you to know how to save yourself as well. If you are caught in an undertow, the worst thing that you can do is try to swim directly towards the shore. This will quickly tire you out. You want to swim parallel to the shore until you can finally get to it.
